Kick off the holiday season and the month-long campaign as we
Light Up Leader Dog - Lagniappe Style!
Help us make Leader Dogs for the Blind even brighter
What is Light Up Leader Dog?
Light Up Leader Dog is a joyful community celebration at Leader Dogs for the Blind’s Downtown Rochester location. The campaign kicks off during the Rochester Downtown Development Authority’s Lagniappe festivities on Monday, November 24, with complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts for all attendees. Guests can meet our incredible Puppy Raisers and Future Leader Dogs and browse a variety of unique Leader Dog branded gifts in our shop. The giving campaign continues throughout the month of December, inviting our community to help us reach our goal and light the way for future Leader Dog teams.
How YOU can take part!
Join the Light Up Leader Dog Pledge Challenge! We’re aiming to engage 500 generous donors to help us raise $7,500 and significantly impact the lives of our visually impaired and blind clients. Every donation and every moment count at Leader Dog. Our mission relies entirely on the support of people like you who believe in what we do. Without your commitment, achieving our goals would be impossible.
What is Lagniappe?
Lagniappe, a Creole term meaning “a little something extra,” perfectly describes the Rochester Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) special touch with the debut of The Big, Bright Light Show, presented by Fox Automotive. On this day, Downtown Rochester comes to life with the official holiday lighting and fireworks spectacular.
