ABOUT ME
I was diagnosed with Stage III TNBC in 2019 at the age of 29. Just over a year later, it metastasized to my brain and liver, changing my life forever. I’ve experienced a variety of radiation, surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy treatments throughout my journey, but I am so grateful for the research and funding from organizations like Metavivor. Through a clinical trial in 2021, I had access to a new drug called Tecentric. This was my miracle! While I still have monthly infusions, I have been No Evidence of Disease since December 2023.
I am forever thankful for the family, friends, and my deep faith for holding me fast on this wild journey! I have made so many beautiful memories in the past 5 years despite my cancer diagnosis: marrying my sweet husband, Andrew, going to Disney World, traveling across the world to visit friends overseas, and even starting my online ministry supporting women just like me. Thriving with breast cancer was never in my life plan, but God held me every step of the way. I have such a heart for women facing their own battles, and I want to share that hard seasons don’t have to be as dark as they may first appear.
I launched Still Good Co. to affirm Thrivers’ worth and fundraise for MBC! I wanted to share the message I needed so deeply on my own journey: Despite whatever happens, life is still good. Our bodies are still good. Our stories are still good. Not because it’s easy, but because our values never changed! Still Good Co. is an apparel line that promotes the 3 colors of the MBC ribbon, to educate communities about MBC, and to donate 15% of every item we sell to Metavivor!
WHAT IS #LightUpMBC ?
The #LightUpMBC campaign is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for metastatic breast cancer (MBC) research to benefit METAvivor. Held annually in October, the campaign partners with hundreds of iconic landmarks around the world to illuminate in the symbolic MBC awareness colors of green, teal, and pink. By uniting patients, families, and supporters, #LightUpMBC shines a spotlight on the urgent need for more research and resources to improve outcomes for MBC patients.
#LightUpMBC Live is a dynamic virtual event that serves as the centerpiece of the #LightUpMBC campaign, bringing together the metastatic breast cancer (MBC) community and its supporters for an evening of storytelling, inspiration, and impact. Hosted annually on October 13 on Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, this live-streamed program features powerful stories from MBC patients and their families, musical performances, and appearances by special guests who amplify the mission of raising awareness and funds for MBC research. #LightUpMBC Live provides a platform for education and advocacy, highlighting the urgency of funding scientific breakthroughs for the most advanced stage of breast cancer.
