I came to Linkage and found family I didn't know I had. People who get where I've been, and who see me for what I bring, not for my past. Some of us wouldn't have made it without this.
Linkage is Michigan's only statewide network of creative people with lived experience of incarceration, 200 of us and growing. The art is how we say who we are. Painting, music, cooking, carpentry, whatever the work is, it's how we change the story people tell about who comes home from prison.
I'm asking the people in my life to chip in. Whatever you give helps keep the whole thing going, the gatherings, the gas to get there, the supplies, the letters to people still inside.
