We lend our time and talents at Literacy New Jersey to encourage and help students like Malgorzata achieve their dreams. With Literacy, anything is possible. The impossible becomes possible and the challenges become our successes. Here are some highlights this year in Middlesex County: 

We expanded our Woodbridge Township ESL program to serve over 100 students, all of who have received 50+ hours of instruction. We started a GED program in Woodbridge Township and currently have 20 students who are working so hard to achieve their High School Diplomas.

Furthermore, we continued our partnership with the Metuchen Public Library where we currently have 4 ESL classes with over 30 students.

We served over 200 ESL, GED, and Citizenship students who spent more than 12,000 hours learning English, studying for their GED, becoming citizens, and enhancing their computer skills to get better jobs, help their children in school and become part of their community.

Our 28 awesome, selfless, and dedicated volunteer tutors donated over 4,500 hours of instruction in small group settings with students for at least 2 hours each week. By broadening horizons, expanding cultural understanding, and building better communities, our students were able to achieve and unlock their full potential.
