      Moving to a new country means embracing the courage to start over. In my home country, I was a practicing lawyer with a solid career, but upon arriving here, I realized that to continue pursuing my calling and contributing to our community, the first and most crucial step would be mastering a new language.

      Through the incredible dedication of Literacy NJ, I found the support I needed through ESL, Citizenship, and conversation classes. These lessons have been the stepping stones restoring my confidence to pursue new professional and academic horizons. Just like me, countless talented professionals such as accountants, lawyers, teachers, and nurses arrive in this country with a wealth of experience, but are temporarily without a voice. 

     When we support adult literacy, we aren’t just teaching words: we are unlocking the potential of individuals who will enrich our communities. Supporting this campaign means, in reality, helping to uplift our society as a whole.

     Having felt this impact firsthand, I want to ensure that others have access to the same welcoming support to rewrite their stories with dignity. No dream is built alone.  I invite you to join me in this transformation.
