At Literacy NJ, we believe every adult deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.

We provide free classes in ESL, GED, Computer Skills, and Citizenship. We also provide books, laptops, calculators, and training for tutors. These programs help adults build the skills they need to support their families, find better job opportunities, and take part in their communities with confidence.

This mission is personal to me because I was once an ESL and Computer Skills student at Literacy NJ. These programs changed my life and my family’s life. They helped me speak English with confidence, support my children in school, communicate with doctors, and understand important information that affects daily life.

Many of our students are working, raising families, and facing real challenges. Still, they show up to class with hope and determination, working toward a better future.
