Growing up, I have had two close poeple be taken awat by cancer: my grandmother and my rhythmic gymnastics coach. Although I did not know my gramdma well, her stories have been passed down to me as well as the love and support she gave me when I was only one. As I grew older and became more involved in my sport of rhythmic gymnastics, the coach who raised me and trained me to become the amazign gymnast I was during the later part of my athletic career was also taken by cancer, but her lessons will always reside inside of me. This holiday season I want to give to young children who have been affected by cancer and light up their lives. Hopefully these donations will give them hope that the world is truly a bright place and that no matter the obstacles that they face, they are surrounded by love from family, friends and many around the world!
