I’m walking for my daughter—my heart warrior—who, between the summer of 2025 and the spring of 2026, has undergone three open-heart surgeries. Watching her strength, resilience, and courage through each of these procedures has forever changed me. It’s because of advances in research and care, driven by organizations like The Children’s Heart Foundation, that she—and so many children like her—have the chance to keep fighting, healing, and thriving.

That’s why I’m participating in the Congenital Heart Walk. It’s not just a walk; it’s a stride toward the next 30 years of hope. This effort supports The Children’s Heart Foundation’s vital mission—advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research that improves survival rates, reduces complications, and helps Heart Warriors celebrate more birthdays than ever before.
