Brayden and Rhys were diagnosed with hemophilia A at birth. Having hemophilia is a life long bleeding disorder. Living with hemophilia can be difficult with shots every two weeks to help with preventing bleeding episodes or endless needle sticks when trying to find a vein for factor infusions. Bruises that show up out of nowhere from who knows what, spontaneous joint bleeds and many emergency room visits. Lots of tears have been shed but our boys are so strong and courageous.

One of the benefits of having this walk is money is used to fund Camp Ailihpomeh which is a camp for kids with bleeding disorders. This camp allows kids a safe place to play, swim, horseback ride, fish and to learn how to self-infuse. The kids make lifelong friends with other kids who truly understand what they go through.

All money raised stays within our community and supports advocacy, education, research, and programs within the bleeding disorder community.
