1 Melanie Crowe $20.00
Your gift is doubled, up to $25,000.
This giving season, your gift goes twice as far. Starting November 4, the Love Thy Neighbor Fund at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati will match every gift to Last Mile dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.
Six days a week, Last Mile Food Rescue picks up surplus fresh food from grocery stores, food warehouses and commercial kitchens. We deliver it for free to the food banks and pantries that feed our hungry neighbors across Greater Cincinnati. This year we’ve already rescued more than 5.1 million pounds of food, and we’re on track to provide 5.8 million meals.
The need is growing. Permanent cuts to SNAP, the federal program that helps families buy groceries, are putting tens of thousands of our neighbors at risk of losing that help. They include veterans, older adults, college students and working families.
There’s more than enough food to go around. Let’s get it to our neighbors together.
Start a fundraiser, rally your people, and make caring contagious:
- Start your page. It takes two minutes. Set a goal, add a photo and tell people why you care.
- Share it. Text it, post it, email it. Ask 10 friends to give $25.
- Double it. Every gift your friends make is matched, so $250 from your circle becomes $500 for our hungry neighbors.
