Literacy Volunteers Ontario-Yates (LVOY) is grateful to the generous wineries around Canandaigua, Seneca, and Keuka lakes who have donated fantastic experiences for this fundraiser. LVOY has been providing free literacy tutoring services to adults in our service area for several decades. Our highly trained volunteer tutors help learners strive for their individual literacy goals. Sometimes that is obtaining a high school equivalency diploma, other times that is becoming a United States citizen. For some learners, the goal is simply to communicate better at work and throughout daily activities. Though goals may vary, our work helps learners transform their lives through literacy. 

Behind the Wines highlights the unique intersect between the renowned Finger Lakes Wine Region and our immigrant learners, many of whom work in the local agri-tourism industry. In the past this has been an in-person wine and food-pairing event but, due to the current pandemic, this year we shifted to an online auction. 

Complete your registration so you are able to bid on items. You may participate through a desktop computer, but we recommend using the Givi app on your phone as it provides a more integrated user experience. Simply download the app then search for us by name.
