At 34 weeks pregnant on Mar. 30th, 2018, we received the most devastating news of our lives: our son Jonah had passed away. We went to the hospital because I hadn't been feeling fetal movement that day and heard the horrible words, "I'm sorry, there's no heartbeat." He was born still on April 1st--Easter Sunday--weighing 5 lbs and 2oz. We'll never forget holding him and weeping and wishing we could have known there was something wrong. We are participating in this 5k in memory of Jonah to raise awareness and to fund stillbirth research and prevention so that other families won't have to go through what we did.
