Wow, you did it again! With your help, we are at 100% of our goal for 15 new specialty mattresses! But, wait, there's still time left on the clock and we're headed into OVERTIME. How much more can you help us score? Well, we'd still love to purchase sleep packages for ALL 50 of our residential youth and a shot IN THE PAINT, or a March Mattress donation of $32.98, covers one of those sleep packages. THANK YOU for helping to make our dreams a reality!
A Safe Place to Sleep
Don’t you find you are at your best after you’ve had a good night’s sleep? It’s true…sleep is important for all of us. For the youth in our residential program, good sleep is vital for learning and for social development, and it helps prepare them for a day to successfully manage their behaviors and emotions. A good night’s rest is vital as youth heal, learn and grow.
Because of traumas the kids in our care have endured in their past, bedtime can be an especially difficult time for them. A good mattress is an important part of getting a good night’s sleep. We use a particular type of mattress at Cunningham and many are now worn and need to be replaced.
During March Mattress, you can help us give youth a safe place to sleep by helping us raise $7,830. These funds will help us purchase 15 new specialty mattresses that are designed with safety and durability in mind. Additional funds raised will also go towards sleep packages, including twin XL sheets and aromatherapy lotions to promote restfulness.
Please consider giving today or start your own Dream Team. You can register as a fundraising participant (sleep advocate) or start a dream team to contribute to our March Mattress efforts.
Don’t snooze on this great opportunity to give our youth a safe place to sleep.
