On October 16, 2016, my daughter & her boyfriend, Robin called from the hospital to tell us they could not detect a heartbeat of our full term granddaughter. They induced and during this time as I was rubbing Audra’s back and holding her she told me the name of our little girl, Tessa Rae. It was a long night of praying this was a fluke and everything would be ok. It brought a closeness to those of us there as we tried to be strong. Tessa Rae, a beautiful little girl, was born sleeping at 4:27 am, October 17. Due to the cooling blanket provided we were able to spend the day holding & loving Tessa. One of the hardest moments of my life was saying goodbye to our granddaughter, but harder still to watch my daughter and Robin prepare themselves to say goodbye to their daughter.
