Meet Michael Dorff, McKinney's Top Model Contender! 

 

My great grandfather was the son of an east Texas sharecropper. One day, he laid down his plow and told his dad he was going to college. His dad gave him everything he could — $5 and a pat on the back. My great grandfather went on to become a public school teacher and even the Mayor of Sweetwater, Texas. Two generations later, the MEF helped make it possible for me to go to college by giving me what they could to support my dream. I will always be grateful that I grew up in McKinney.
