I’m thrilled to be participating in MDE School 2026 Day of Giving, a fundraiser supporting Mde School of East Cobb!
Anyone who knows me knows how much MDE means to me and our family. Before we found MDE, our parenting journey felt like living in a endless dark tunnel. As parents, there is nothing more agonizing than advocating tirelessly for your child's needs and feeling like you are constantly hitting dead ends. We were lost, exhausted, and searching for a place where our son wouldn't just get by, but truly be seen, understood, and supported.
Then, we found MDE.
From the moment we walked through these doors, everything changed. This school gave us the light, guidance, and community we had been desperately searching for. They didn't just see our son's deficits they saw his strengths, his potential, and his unique light. They gave him the tailored support he needed to thrive and gave our family peace of mind for the first time in years.
Seeing the transformational impact this school had on our son is the exact reason I chose to step up as PTA President and serve on the Board. I dedicate my time to this community because I know firsthand what a lifeline it is. Every child deserves an environment where they are understood and empowered, and every parent deserves to feel supported.
MDE continues to be that beacon of hope for our family and so many others, but we cannot do it alone.
