You’ll find me playing golf and spending time with my family.

Why is it important to you to give back (to the SECU Family House)?

My wife stayed at a similar facility in Asheville when my father-in-law was hospitalized and it really took away some of her worries about food and lodging.

What was the first thing you remember cooking?

Does cereal count? :)

Name a fun fact people may not know about you.

I once sent Dean Smith a letter with a play I’d designed. He actually wrote me back but I don’t think he used the play.

You’ll probably find me in Boone watching Appalachian State football!

Why is it important to you to give back (to the SECU Family House)?

I stayed at the Rathbun House in Asheville when my dad was hospitalized at Mission Memorial. It was so nice to have a place to rest and eat without having to worry about the logistics and expense of staying in a hotel. When I had the opportunity to volunteer at the SECU House, I wanted to do everything in my power to make it a positive experience for patients and their families so they could focus on their treatment and getting better.

What was the first thing you remember cooking?

Pancakes
