I enjoy riding my bike, listening to jazz or being an assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts.

Why is it important to you to give back (to the SECU Family House)?

I am only where I am because other's gave back. 

What was the first thing you remember cooking?

A turkey for Thanksgiving.

I am addicted to farmers' markets.

What can we find you doing when you're not whipping up a dish for Men Who Cook?

Most commonly playing some jazz, I’m a trombonist but I’ve also begun learning how to code on the side which I’m enjoying. I also enjoy exercise and Sci-Fi/fantasy literature including books, movies, and tv shows.

Why is it important to you to give back (to the SECU Family House)?

I like giving back in general. It’s something that for me is small but makes a meaningful difference in having the sort of impact I want to have in this world. By giving back to the community I can do something positive for people and in this case I can do it through something fun like cooking which only sweetens the deal.

What was the first thing you remember cooking?

The first actual meal I remember cooking was breakfast at a camp out. I was in scouting throughout school and we had a couple yearly camp outs. One of them was the father-son in which one of these camp outs I was expected to help cook breakfast which in this case I believe was bacon and eggs(and other things I’m sure I just can’t remember). Those have become a staple in my repertoire and that experience taught me a lot about how to move around in a kitchen.
