Happy Spring to our Friends & Family - We are lucky to have you in our lives! It has been the toughest year in memory for our little family. As the spring unfolds, we want to thank you each of you for taking care of us in your own special way during this past year. Being a foster family, we are aware how not everyone is as lucky as us during hardship. Children are even more vulnerable when their parents can’t care for them. In Marin we are blessed with loving and caring resource families that give foster kids love and nurturing while their parents aren’t able to take care of them. We are asking a favor of you, to help us support foster kids in our community.
Eddie and I are participating in Marin Foster Care’s Dance*a*Thon next Sunday the April 28th to raise money for the work MFCA does with kids in our county. We know some of these amazing kids personally and see how horseback riding is building confidence or how a used car gets a lovely teen in our neighborhood to high school each morning. I see firsthand how these and many other Opportunity Fund grants support foster kids. Besides the opportunity fund, we have many other successful programs that help a kid grow during a tough time in their life.
