The Race to Embrace Independence is a fun, family-friendly community celebration to support and highlight the successes of Marian House women moving from dependence to independence. Your participation helps raise vital funds for housing, food, clothing, education, life skills, job readiness training, counseling and other necessary support services for homeless women and children.
Log your 1 mile - 5K anytime Saturday, September 19th through Sunday, September 27th. Race by foot, bike, treadmill, pool, etc. all at one time or over the course of the week.
- Adult/Youth 12+ - $35
- Youth Age 6-12 - $20
- Youth Age <6 - FREE
All paid registrations include a bib, t-shirt and access to web-based race programming with music, speakers, video & more.
Onsite registration is available at the 9/17 Packet Pick Up held 4-8pm at the 949 Gorsuch Ave. courtyard.
All new web registrations on 9/17 and after will initiate a mailing to you. A virtual bib will be emailed for you use during race week.
Prizes will be awarded for the largest race team, as well as top individual and team fundraisers.
Performance awards will be given to the top three male and female 5K overall finishers and to the top three 5K finishers in each of the following age categories for 5K racing by foot: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-79 and 80 & over.
If you would like to be eligible for race awards, please plan to use a fitness app to track your time and miles. Race times can be submitted no later than September 30th by emailing screenshots to email@example.com.
