Miles for Smiles

Musa and Yusuf are excited to partner with Sharing Humanity and FAITH Social Services to raise money for FAITH's annual Eid-ul-Fitr Toy drive benefitting orphaned and low-income youth in the area.  They are organizing a one-mile fun run and want you (or more specifically, your kids :)) to be a part of it!  This is what you need to do:

1. Register your child for the run via this page
2. Once registered, a donation page will be created for you/your child(ren)
3. Customize the page with a personal message
4. Send the page to your friends and family and have them "sponsor" the runners
5. Watch excitedly with your child as their fundraising goal is met
6. Come out on race day and cheer your child on (or run with them!)

The Shaping Young Minds Youth Program exists to provide a material, emotional and psychological support network for orphan,immigrant and low-income disenfranchised youth.  We aim to build character, self-esteem and broaden perspectives through targeted activities.

Our goal is to provide youth with tools to break the cycle of poverty, pave a successful future and be good citizens through age appropriate Rising Stars and Bright Stars branches.

Each year, FAITH Social Services celebrates Eid Ul Fitr by collecting gifts for children and youth in the Shaping Young Minds Youth Program.

It is important to remember others when enjoying blessings such as a large Eid feast, and receiving gifts in celebrating Ramadan. The Rising Stars and Bright Stars create a wish list of EID gifts and we share this list for donors to buy the items or collect funds for us to buy the items. This list includes games, books and even clothes!
