Every day, we equip investigators, prosecutors, educators, advocates, and other child protection professionals with the training, tools, resources, and expertise they need to do their jobs better.

Zero Abuse Project is feeling those effects from many directions.

1. Funding that has historically supported critical work is uncertain, reduced, delayed, or no longer available. At the same time, many of the child protection professionals and agencies we serve are navigating funding challenges of their own. And this is happening while the work itself is becoming more complex.
2. AI-generated child sexual abuse material is rising at an alarming rate. Offender tactics are becoming more complex. Investigations are increasingly more complicated. More survivors are seeking ongoing support. Prosecutors need specialized expertise. Communities are desperately looking for tools to prevent abuse before it happens.

The need isn't slowing down just because funding is.

What's Happening?

For years, federal funding has helped make child protection work possible across the country. Those dollars help organizations like Zero Abuse Project train investigators, support prosecutors, provide resources for survivors, prevent abuse, and respond to new threats facing children.

Right now, much of that funding is delayed, uncertain, or simply hasn't become available. But the need for this work hasn't gone away.
