This year, I am participating in MMCO's End of the Year Campaing 2025, a fundraiser supporting Minds Matter Colorado, Inc.
Minds Matter Colorado connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.
Practically, this looks like:
- Meeting with a mentor every week during the school year to explore college, careers, and build their own self-confidence and awareness.
- Test prep tutoring
- Attending an in-state college summer program sophomore year
- Attending an out-of-state college summer program junior year
- Support in applying to college and scholarships.
As a former teacher, I understand how crucial it is that kids have mentors to support them in their journey and access to college opportunities. If you believe in this, too, please consider donating! These are some of the places your donation will go:
- $10 - Cost per student of dinner on Monday nights before session
- $50 - The cost of one ride for one student to get to session with our partners at HopSkipDrive ($350 per semester)
- $50 - The average college application fee
- $200 - The cost of ACT/SAT test prep materials for our Juniors
- $300 - The cost of one Chromebook for a student
- $2000 - The average cost of a university summer program tuition
- $6,200 - the total cost for one student for one year in MMCO programming
I greatly appreciate your support!
