As you may know, I spend my Monday nights during the school year mentoring with Minds Matter Colorado (MMCO), a non-profit organization providing mentoring and college access prep for highly-motivated students from low-income communities in the Denver Metro area.
During this season of giving, I’m raising money to ensure that we can continue to support these capable & committed students on their journeys towards college.
Minds Matter provides the following benefits for its students:
-
Two dedicated adult volunteer mentors to help navigate the college preparation process;
-
Full tuition coverage for top-tier academic summer programs;
-
Professional ACT/SAT & writing instruction;
-
Expert advice on the college application and financial aid process;
We’re proud to say that in our 20 year history, 100% of Minds Matter seniors have been accepted to 4-year institutions with scholarships to pay for them. Not only that, recent MMCO graduates are attending schools like Colorado State University, Colorado School of Mines, Cornell University, Stanford University, Duke University, Howard University, University of Southern California and more!
In order to continue to provide the amazing college access and mentoring support to the 104 students we currently serve, MMCO hopes to raise $150,000 by December 31st in support of our program costs.
Will you join us in ensuring that every qualified, committed student who wants to go to college can access the services they need to succeed?
I hope you’ll consider a gift of any amount - every dollar helps to support our amazing young people!
Thank you,
Crystal
