Joe and I are riding in the first annual 360 Cycling Series ride on May 11th; this is a benefit ride for MileHigh360 - a Denver-based youth development program that we have been supporting. All of the money that we raise will go toward summer programming for MileHigh360's middle-school students; summer programming spans 5 weeks and is 37 hours per week. Students will do everything from bookclubs to writing classes to a 5-day/4-night bikepacking trip. These students join MileHigh360 as 6th graders and remain a member of the program through age 24. This is no joke of a committment. Each student, at the completion of her/his membership, will have spent over 3,500 hours of time with MileHigh360. It is life changing...
It is an amazing journey for the students and for the folks like Joe and me who get involved.
