Missing GRACE Foundation’s mission is to provide support, resources and education for families and professional care providers when there is loss of a baby, infertility or adoption challenges. We offer hope and healing opportunities to G.R.A.C.E. – Grieve, Restore, Arise, Commemorate and Educate.

Event Details

Thanks for visiting the 11th Minnesota Hope & Hearts 5K Run/ Memorial Walk event site!

The event took place on September 17, 2016 at Bunker Hills Regional Park in Coon Rapids. The results are posted on the Leaderboard and thermometer here on the home page.

The next event, the 12th Hope & Hearts Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017! The new event site will be available in Spring 2017 for you to create your Team pages, register and donate.

Bereaved parents shared their story of their baby or child by creating a Memorial Page in their memory and helped to raise funds as a Team to support the mission of Missing GRACE Foundation.

The site stays live so you can click on the Team pages to read the Team's baby stories by clicking on the names in the Leaderboard

We appreciate your involvement and participation in this important event. With your help, Missing GRACE continues to provide support and resources for bereaved, infertile, and adoptive families in Minnesota and across the nation!!

Together through this event we  "Remember and Save Lives of Babies."

Online Registration Closed at 11:59pm on Sept. 15th, 2016 and prize winners for Top 3 Teams and Youth Fundraiser were determined by Totals shown on the Leaderboard at 11:59pm on Sept. 15th.

Ways to Give & Get Involved:

Event Location: BUNKER HILLS Regional Park in Coon Rapids.

There are 2 entrances to the park. The North entrance gatehouse is closest to the pavilions #3 and #2 where the Hope & Hearts event takes place.
North Entrance:
Bunker Lake Blvd (also called Country Rd 116)
Enter into park at County Park Road A

All participants must check-in at the Registration Station Pavilion #2, and complete the waiver.

The Run is a Timed 5K event and finish times are posted afterwards by the stage and online.

The Memorial Walk is 3.8K in length.

9:00 AM - 5K TIMED RUN (13 & older) $25.00 pre-reg/ $30.00 onsite

 9:15 AM - 3.8K MEMORIAL WALK (age 13+) $25.00 pre-reg/ $30.00 onsite

9:15 AM - 3.8K MEMORIAL WALK (ages 12 & younger - FREE with a registered adult!)

10:30 AM - KIDS' FUN DASH (ages 12 & younger) $10.00 pre-reg/ $12.00 onsite

ATTENDING EVENT (13 & older- NOT RUNNING/ NOT WALKING) - $25.00 pre-reg/ $30.00 onsite

11:00 AM - Commemoration Ceremony with Hearts to Heaven Balloon Release.    

Pre/Post Race Food/Drink: You are invited to enjoy complimentary water, coffee and snacks at the Refreshment Station Pavilion #3.

Box lunch offered this year for $7.00. You have a choice of turkey, roast beef or veggie sandwich and it comes with a cookie, chips, fruit and water. Reserve your box lunch by September 9th.

The run and walk take place on the same path and the paths are mostly paved, however, there are areas that have sand, gravel/ rock, which can be difficult for rollerblades, scooters and some wheelchairs. Everyone is welcome to participate though! Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash and you must pick up after them.

Children 12 and under can attended the event for FREE if participating with a registered adult in the Memorial Walk but they must still be registered by a parent or guardian and have a waiver completed by their parent/ guardian.

For children to receive an event T-shirt, they must be registered for the Kids' Fun Dash ($10) OR you can buy them a shirt on our T-shirt order form or onsite at the event.

*Important T-shirt information

The T-shirt cut off date for receiving an Event shirt with your registration fee, is September 9th, 2016.

The registration fee is required for entrance and participation to the event (free food, entertainment, the run/walk and balloon for the Hearts to Heaven Balloon release, are all included in the registration fee).

A $5 parking fee is charged and collected by Anoka County Parks per car at the gate entrances to the park. Seasonal park pass holders do not have to pay this fee.

Event Awards and Prizes go to:
1. 5K Run Top Male Finisher
2. 5K Run Top Female Finisher
3. Top Team Fundraisers (Most Funds Raised by a Team)
4. 2nd Place Team Fundraisers
5. 3rd Place Team Fundraisers
6. Youngest Top Fundraiser (17 years and younger who raised the most funds)

To qualify for prizes: Youth 17 and younger must register with Missing GRACE by calling 763-497-0709 and have a parent or guardian help to set up their Fundraising page here on Hobnob.

*Winners are determined by the totals listed on the Leaderboard on this page on Thursday, 11:59PM, September 15th, 2016, two days before the run (both online and offline totals that the Team Captain has entered on their page are honored).
