Our Story
Mercy Ships follows the 2,000 year-old model of Jesus, bringing hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor.
Our family’s first leap of faith came in 2019 when we moved from New York to Texas, 1500 miles from our friends and family, where Paul fulfilled management roles within the Marketing and IT departments at the Mercy Ships International Support Center.
With your help, we’re planning another incredible leap of service and faith. This time as volunteer crew aboard the Global Mercy, Mercy Ships’ first purpose-built hospital ship. We will be supporting the medical professionals who are changing lives in Africa, one surgery at a time!
Your faithful support and prayers will provide our family a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience and directly participate as the hands and feet of God.
How you can help
- We will be raising money to pay for our travel expenses to and from the ship as well as monthly expenses such as health insurance, clothing, and other personal items/expenses as this is a 100% volunteer position. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating to us.
- We are stepping out of our comfort zones to follow God's call for our family and would love prayer for strength, perseverance, patience, and continuing faith!
- Share our story! Please feel free to share our story and crew page with others that you think would be interested in supporting us financially and prayerfully.
