The Millersville University Men's Soccer Team is raising money to support a 10 day team trip to England in August 2017. Four years ago the team took a similar trip consisting of two games, several practice sessions and other cultural experiences. The team competed against the Barnsley FC under 21 team and Doncaster Rovers under 19 team. Practice sessions were held at the Manchester City Youth Academy and Hull City FC. Three professional games were attended while visiting England giving players the experience of visiting Old Trafford as well as witnessing a league cup game. A tourist/ cultural aspect was included on the trip with visits to the cities of Manchester, Whitby, and Scarborough.
This August, the team plans to take a similar trip with 23 players and 3 coaches travelling. They will stay in the ancient city of York in northern England, and will play games against teams from Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley FC. Practice sessions will also be held at these clubs with possible others to be added. Guest coaching will be provided in at least one practice from a club academy coach. Attendance at youth and professional games will also be included. Some day and half day trips around the country will be utilized to provide a cultural and educational aspect to the trip.

This trip will be a tremendous athletic, cultural and educational experience for everyone and will provide the team with a perfect platform for their preparations for the fall season and another run at the PSAC Championship!
