What is Tisch MSRCNY?

The Tisch MS Research Center of New York is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding the cause of, and a cure for, multiple sclerosis. At present, there is no full understanding of the cause and mechanism of the disease. While a variety of effective treatments have been shown to reduce some symptoms and, in some cases, slow the progress of the disease, there is no cure for MS.

The Center has a holistic research approach that includes all aspects of the disease, including progression mechanisms, translational programs that will lead to new therapies, and the regeneration and repair process.

Tisch MSRCNY is led by Saud A. Sadiq, MD, FAAN, a native of Kenya and a board-certified neurologist with over 100 publications. He has been named one of America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly six times, and featured in the New Yorker and other top media outlets.

With a thriving Assistantship Program for young scientists, industry-renowned principal researchers, and a direct relationship with the world-class International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice, Tisch MSRCNY accelerates the pace at which research moves from from lab bench to bedside.

Tisch MSRCNY is supported entirely by grants and private philanthropy.
