Musical Theatre Performance Cost Fundraising

Donate / Crowdfund

As it is in the theatre world everywhere, ticket sales alone do not cover all the various expenses associated with putting on a show. For MT, without any performance related donations, each large scale production typically loses between $5,000 - $10,000. In an effort to offset those costs, we traditionally have requested a “performance fee donation” from each family involved in the show.

For some, this can be a challenge. In response to this, OCSA has implemented a crowdfunding platform that allows each student/parent to reach out to friends and family to help raise these funds.

Cash donations to the school are tax deductible per OCSA's IRS designation as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We are currently fundraising to help offset production costs for the following show:

Familiar Variations
November 17th and 18th
The Kathy and Conrad Choral Room - DMS 101

Requested per cast member minimum goal: $50
(but feel free to make your own individual goal higher, knowing we will put all funds raised to good use!)

Some explanation about the difference between Donate & Crowdfunding.

Use "Donate Now!" to donate outright, no registration is necessary.

"Register to Crowdfund" if you want to ask other people to help donate to meet your individual fundraising goal, using this process you may also donate yourself at the end of your registration.
