Dear (insert name of person),

My name is (insert name), and I play (insert name of instrument) in the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO). (Insert something about yourself and why you like WYSO. You could include the friends you have made, favorite pieces of music that you’ve played, tell about the chamber ensemble you belong to, etc.)

WYSO was founded in 1966 and originally consisted of one orchestra. Now, the program has five orchestras, a chamber music program, a harp ensemble, a flute ensemble, a percussion ensemble, and the WYSO Music Makers program. WYSO supports 500 young musicians ages 5 to 18! You can learn more about WYSO by visiting our website at www.wysomusic.org.

Every week, WYSO conducts rehearsals for each of these groups, and we prepare for three annual concert cycles. We rehearse at the WYSO Center for Music, a state-of-the-art building with rehearsal halls, practice rooms, and space for the community. You can learn more about our new home by visiting www.wysomusic.org/wysos-new-home/.

WYSO is collecting donations for its annual fundraiser, the Musical Notes Family Campaign. This campaign runs from now until June 15th, 2026. The purpose of the campaign is to share WYSO’s mission with family, friends, and the community and raise support to keep tuition affordable for WYSO members.

Would you be willing to contribute a donation to WYSO?

The tuition we pay covers less than 30% of the total cost of each member’s participation in the WYSO program. Your contribution helps WYSO keep student fees reasonable and achieve our vision that music is for everyone!

Please consider a tax-deductible donation, payable to WYSO, and include my name in the check memo. I'm sharing a self-addressed, stamped envelope here. You can also donate online by visiting secure.qgiv.com/event/musicalnotes2026/.

Once the campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgment statement from WYSO for tax purposes.

Thank you!
