Petit Philippe is raising money as a Giver of Hope
Petit Philippe Founders, Mark Meissner & Casey Hickey

Over the past 15 years running Petit Philippe, we’ve had the privilege of connecting with some truly incredible people—many of whom have become dear friends, mentors, and part of our extended wine family. Some of these friends have shared their journeys through cancer with grace and grit; others, heartbreakingly, have passed far too soon.
We know first-hand the shock and fear that a cancer diagnosis can bring. Casey’s mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer on our youngest son’s fourth birthday. While Casey and her siblings quickly mobilized to bring Martha to Charlotte for treatment, the cancer was simply too advanced and aggressive. She passed away six weeks to the day after her diagnosis. Though Martha was never well enough to receive treatment, the care she and her daughters received at Levine Cancer was filled with compassion, empathy, and understanding.
You’ve likely been touched by cancer too—whether personally or through a family member, friend, or colleague. As cancer rates continue to rise, especially among adults under 50, there is also growing hope. Cancer-related deaths have declined steadily for the past 30 years; more people are surviving than ever before. And right here in Charlotte, the medical community is working to make cancer treatment an experience patients not only will survive, but through which they can thrive!
That’s why we gave a resounding “yes!” when our friend Kenny Kahn invited us to become Givers of Hope, and why we’re so proud for Petit Philippe to be a sponsor of Hope & Harmony Weekend supporting Atrium Health Levine Cancer in developing a National Model for Cancer Survivorship.
Please consider making a contribution through our Givers of Hope campaign. Every gift helps ensure that cancer patients—regardless of their ability to pay—have access to vital supporitve services such as nutritional counseling, art and music therapy, psycho-oncology, palliative care, therapeutic massage and so much more. These complementary services help patients feel as normal and nurtured as possible through what is often the most difficult time in their lives.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate: Give what you can. No amount is too small!
- Spread the Word: Share our fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. The more awareness we build, the more impact we make.
To every client, friend, and family member whose life has been touched by cancer—you’ve inspired us. This is for you.
With deepest gratitude,
Mark Meissner & Casey Hickey
