Piper's ready to strut her stuff! Are you?
CCHS is near and dear to Piper's heart. Relinquished with her 7 littermates in 2022, she was quick to steal the heart of a staff member that had recently lost their dog earlier that year (Zoey, also a CCHS alum). It was discovered shortly after that Piper had a congenital heart condition and CCHS took care of the initial cardiology consultation with U of I so her new family knew what to expect.
4 years later she's going strong and is a daily reminder for her mom to take everything day by day and live each day to the fullest.
Now Piper has already won the title of Top Dog 2024 and graced the label of a Triptych can (Piper's Wit) but that doesn't stop her from wanting to help raise money for a wonderful shelter that she, for a short time, called home.

Thank You
To anyone that donates, thank you from the bottom of Piper's heart! Every cent makes a difference in a shelter pet's life and CCHS couldn't do as much as it does without your generosity.
About the Organization
The Champaign County Humane Society is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping companion animals healthy, housed, and looking for homes. Our shelter has been open to the Champaign County community since 1954, and we've helped thousands and thousands of animals find their forever home. Last year alone, about 1,700 pets found families through CCHS, thanks to donors like you.
As an independent nonprofit, our shelter, adoptions, and education programs rely on the generosity of this community, and the passion of supporters who fundraise on our behalf. We do not receive funding from local government entities, and we are not a branch of any national animal welfare nonprofits.
