American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro 2017 TCS New York City Marathon

Dear Friends and Family,

Inspired by my niece, Noa, who turned one this September, I’m running this year’s NYC marathon and raising funds for American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro (AFOBIS).

I already had qualified for the NYC Marathon through local races. While I have no fundraising commitment, I wanted to make this year's training and race much more meaningful. My family and I have had a chance to learn a lot more about Beit Issie Shapiro over the last few months, including touring its facilities in Ra'anana, Israel.

As you consider your own charitable organizations, we know that Beit Issie Shapiro is a very worthwhile and impactful organization. Despite its Israeli base, Beit Issie Shapiro has helped developmentally disabled children around the world.
