Hello,
On June 4, I will be playing 100 holes in Golf Fights Cancer’s 2026 New England Golf Marathon, an event that brings together my love for golf and my passion for supporting cancer-related organizations.
This cause is extremely personal to me. My brother, Dominic Lombardi, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2016 as a freshman in high school. Watching him go through so much at such a young age changed my perspective and my life. Dominic continues to face the effects of cancer and chemotherapy every single day, yet he continues to inspire me with his strength, resilience, and determination.
Cancer has affected my family in many ways. My aunt passed away from breast cancer before I ever had the chance to meet her, my father beat bone cancer, and my grandfather suffered from prostate cancer. Throughout my life, cancer has shaped me in ways I am still coming to understand, and it has made me deeply passionate about fundraising, giving back, and surrounding myself with people who share the same goal of making a difference.
Golf has also been a major part of my life. I started playing as a freshman in high school, and since then, it has been a source of strength, purpose, and stability through many different stages of my life. As I continue to play in college, I am constantly reminded of why I started and how meaningful this sport has become to me.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring together two things that mean so much to me: golf and supporting families affected by cancer. My fundraising goal is $2,000, and I would be so appreciative of any contribution, no matter the amount. Every donation makes a difference and helps support an incredible cause.
Thank you so much for your support.
