We're excited to come together to participate in the 2026 Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk, a fundraiser to support the bleeding disorders community! As you may know, our son Charlie was only 3 days old when he was diagnosed with severe Type A Hemophilia, a rare genetic bleeding disorder in which his blood doesn't clot properly due to a missing clotting factor (Factor VIII.) 

For Charlie, this means even minor bumps or injuries can cause serious external or internal bleeding, especially into joints and muscles. Eric and I administer biweekly doses of medication that help Charlie's body mimic the clotting factor his blood is missing. These treatments help prevent bleeds, protect his joints, and give him the chance to play and grow just like other kids. 

Hemophilia is lifelong--there's no cure yet--but with research, new therapies and community support, we believe Charlie and kids like him could see a cure in their lifetimes. This is why we are walking! All money raised by our team stays within our community and funds crucial advocacy, education, research, and support services. Our collective passion for this cause drives us, and we need your support to make a difference!
