I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors for NeighborGood Community Pantry, because I’ve seen how much more a pantry can provide than groceries.

NeighborGood helps our neighbors through difficult seasons with nutritious food, essential resources, and something just as important: dignity and hope. Sometimes that means making sure a family has enough food for the week. Sometimes it means providing dog or cat food so no one has to choose between feeding themselves and feeding a beloved pet. And sometimes it means sending home the ingredients for a birthday cake so a child or family can still celebrate a special day.

Those details matter. They are part of what makes NeighborGood such a special place.

NeighborGood now has a permanent home, and we have an opportunity to make that home even more welcoming, accessible, and equipped to serve our community for years to come. The Growing to Give Campaign will help fund renovations, accessibility improvements, building needs, and other upgrades that will allow NeighborGood to reach even more of our neighbors.

I’ve made my own gift, and I’m asking my friends and family to help me raise $1,500 toward this effort.

Right now, every donation is matched dollar for dollar through NeighborGood’s $150,000 Match Challenge. That means a $25 gift becomes $50. A $50 gift becomes $100. Whatever amount feels right to you will go twice as far.
