In 2022 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. The diagnosis alone nearly broke me. Without the strength of my husband and kids, my parents and sister, and a handful of friends, I don't know how I would have held myself up. The months following my diagnosis were hell. There's no other way to say it. Chemo, surgeries, radiation, immunotherapy treatments, blood transfusions... it felt like it would never end. And then last Christmas the Never Alone Foundation contacted me, and they brought the joy of Christmas, with dinner, gifts and a visit from the big guy himself, Santa! They offered friendship, warmth and hope.
And now it's my turn to give back. And so I'm participating in the Never Alone Cancer Walk, so they can continue to do what they do so well, help others.
We've all been touched by cancer. Whether it's been a personal journey, like myself, or just knowing someone who's going through it. Please consider giving to the Never Alone Foumdation. You can do so by sponsoring me in this walk for cancer, this September.
