WELCOME
Welcome to Running For Tomorrows - A Virtual 5K for JA! Junior Achievement provides sequential programming for K-12 students in three pathways: Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Work/Career Readiness. The concepts in these pathways are essential to guiding our youth to becoming financially successful adults, especially in this new world we are living in! JA has quickly pivoted and transformed our paper-based kits into virtual platforms to better assist our educators and students in all learning environments this year! The goal is to reach and provide programming to as many students as we can to help guide them to have a financially successful future!
What is a Virtual Race?
Virtual races are a way to stay connected with one another when you can't get together for an in-person race. A virtual race is one that you run or walk on your own, at any time of day. Virtual races allow you to run the race on any course in any place you like— country road, park path, treadmill. You are the boss!
This is an amazing way to stay fit, get a custom made sweat-wicking JA bandana made by Horsjei Graphics (first 150 registrants only), all while practicing social distancing and giving back to a good cause to make a difference!
Once you have registered, please post a sweaty selfie after completing the 5K (3.1miles) with your time or run/walk app (optional) anytime between September 21st - 28th! You can post your picture on your personal page (you will get one after registration) and/or on Facebook. If you post on Facebook, be sure to tag @JAnewulm in your post! You can walk, jog, run, split up the miles over a couple days...just complete the 5K at some point during that time frame and post your picture when it is done!
Let's run/walk and raise some money to keep our programming free to the schools and students so we can continue on with our mission which is: TO INSPIRE AND PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO SUCCEED IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY.
