I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page.

This year, I'm walking for the first time in a few years! This cause has always been close to my heart and will always be! Very early on we knew that Mackenzie would eventually need heart surgery. We went through several different doctors while I was pregnant, preparing for whatever would come our way when she was born. Immediately after she was born, she was taken to the Nicu as she was a premature baby. She was monitored and watched carefully by so many different doctors on our team. Thankfully, we were able to take her home with us and begin our heart warrior journey. We eventually ended up working with a doctor at Westchester Children's Hospital to go through her surgery at 20 months old during Covid. It was a very hard moment to handover your baby to a surgeon and kiss her goodbye on the table. It's a feeling I don't think I'll ever forget. She is incredibly strong, brave, independent, funny, smart and hardworking. Kenzie is my little superhero! I want to walk this year for all of those that can't and for all of those that are still fighting!
