As I remembered that I really had to write this this morning, I began reflecting on how lucky I am that I could have forgotten to write it... and down a rabbit hole I went. A year ago, and certainly two years ago, forgetting about congenital heart disease for a few weeks, days, minutes, seconds was unfathomable. As you all well know, Margot was born with a very serious heart defect and thoughts of her heart (and her mortality) consumed my mind 24/7....and then some. How beyond lucky are we that we landed in the hands of absolute angels (https://www.drpatflynn.com/) and her heart is FIXED...and she is spunky as hell and totally thriving..and I could forget about how soon the congenital heart walk is?! Unthinkable.  

While forgetting is a luxury, remembering is an absolute necessity and participating in events such as this and donating to causes like the "Children's Heart Foundation" are increasingly crucial in today's climate. Research funded by organizations like this and the miracle of Dr. Pat Flynn and Dr Andrew Goldstone and doctors like them, saved my daughter.. and your granddaughter, niece, cousin, neighbor, friend... and lots of other children just like her.
