I've heard about the New Harmony Project for years from my friends in the local theatre community, but this spring was the first time that Kathy and I attended the conference in New Harmony.  It was a magical weekend!  It is difficult to adequately describe how my soul was fed by being with such amazing writers, actors, and artists.  Although we were newbies, we were welcomed as long-time friends and embraced by all.  "Find Your Utopia" was more than a cool slogan (and to be sure, it's a cool slogan); it was my experience in New Harmony. 

So I jumped at the chance to join the Project's board and to help support its mission, because in this time of personal and political division, we need "to change the world by putting stories of hope at the center of our lives and our world," as the mission says.  I'm excited by the new opportunities to not only "help writers' spirits soar," but also to help bring these amazing works to life in central Indiana and beyond.
