About Nicole
Nicole Elaina Weintraub, longtime resident of Newtown, CT, passed away on May 1, 2025 from a ruptured brain aneurysm surrounded by her loving family. She was 40 years old.
Born in San Dimas, California, Nicole was the cherished daughter of Robert and Christine Fredericks. Her desire to helping others led her to pursue her Master’s in Education from Sacred Heart University. Nicole was a dedicated teacher currently teaching 5th-grade at Farmingville Elementary School in Ridgefield, previously teaching in Newtown, CT. Her love for teaching was evident in her daily interactions with her students, and she had an innate ability to inspire them to be curious and kind.
She had a deep passion for physical fitness, always finding joy in staying active and encouraging others to do the same. Her love for the California sunshine was matched only by her dedication to her children, Sydney and Benjamin, whom she cherished above all else. Whether she was teaching her students, shoe shopping, or simply enjoying life’s little pleasures, she radiated warmth and positivity. Her smile was one that could instantly put anyone at ease- making you feel that everything was going to be okay, and her infectious laugh had the power to brighten even the toughest of days. Known for her unwavering kindness, she treated everyone with a rare sense of compassion, never judging and always offering support. Her adventurous spirit and easy-going nature made her a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her. Above all, she lived for her children, constantly striving to create fun, memorable moments for them.
