For over six months, I sat in a chemotherapy chair watching while my body was slowly poisoned in an effort to destroy any lingering cancer cells. To say cancer is a life changing event is an understatement. My body is different. I can no longer do many of the things I loved doing. I think about cancer every single day and will for the rest of my life. My health has suffered. I am tired. I hurt. My mobility has suffered. But, every day I wake up is a gift.
As I sat in that chair, I vowed that I would fight back so that, one day, no one else would ever have to go through what I've been through. Help me with that mission.
