Why JA?

Getting Started

  • Choose a Company Coordinator to act as a liaison with JA and to be the driving force during the Bowl-A-Thon campaign.
  • Once booked, JA will send the Company Coordinator materials for all teams and bowlers.
  • The Company Coordinator will stay in touch with Junior Achievement throughout the process. JA will be with you every step of the way.

What is the JA Bowl-A-Thon?
The JA Bowl-A-Thon is a fun teambuilding event that is designed to raise funds for Junior Achievement. Proceeds support JA's programs in work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy in Southwest Missouri.

  • Your employees join together in a fundraising project to support the students that JA serves.
  • Team building occurs naturally as the team members develop and implement strategies to solicit donations on behalf of Junior Achievement.
  • While working together on the project and at the bowling center they network with others from your company and possibly from organizations throughout the area.
  • Our programs function as a partnership between JA, businesses, and schools. Junior Achievement volunteers bring their real-life experience into the classroom.
  • Your fundraising campaign culminates with your bowling event. Bowlers receive two hours of bowling, shoe rental, two slices of pizza, a non-alcoholic drink, JA t-shirt, a chance at attendance prizes, other giveaways, and loads of fun.
  • Non-bowlers are welcome to fundraise as part of your campaign, and attend the event as spectators and the cheering section.

Cost

  • Registration Fee: Register for $25 and receive 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, door prize tickets, an event T-shirt, and drink tickets. (Please note: Registration fees are waived for teams with a paid sponsorship.)
  • The suggested fundraising goal is $100 per bowler or $500 per team.
  • Goals can be reached by 10 donors contributing $10 each to a bowler's effort, or $20 from 5 people, or $5 from 20 people. You get the idea.
  • Event sponsorships are also available. Click here to learn more about these opportunities.
