I’m thrilled to be participating in the 2026 Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk, a fundraiser to support the bleeding disorders community!

I'm also excited because it's my first walk! I'm walking for myself and for all of the people who have bleeding disorders like I do.

When I was born, I wouldn't stop bleeding from just a needle prick. I was eventually diagnosed when I was just 6 months old. I'm lucky because I was born at a time when there was a breakthrough medicine approved for my condition when I was a year old. I'm also blessed because we have medical insurance that helps to pay for my medicine. Just one of my medications cost $400,000 per year!

But there are so many who aren't so fortunate! There is a need for advocacy, education, and support services. There is the need for more research and testing so that others can have medical breakthroughs!

And that is why I walk this year, yes, for myself, but also for those who can't.
