Hi! My name is Sam and I'm a second-year medical student at NYU :) 

My experience growing up with two parents who are early-onset cancer survivors sparked both my passion for medicine and my research interest in the psychosocial impact of disease. Cancer has shaped my life for as long as I can remember and inspired my commitment to patient advocacy, compassionate care, and always approaching life with a sense of gratitude.

Before medical school, I spent my gap year working for this organization, Let’s Win! Pancreatic Cancer, and saw firsthand the impact this community has in connecting patients and families to information, support, and hope. As I now begin to take care of patients impacted by this devastating disease, I am proud to run this marathon in support of Let’s Win and the important work they do every day for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
