Over the past two years, NY Shakespeare Exchange has become a big part of my life.  As a Shakespeare nerd I love how this group have managed to breathe new life into The Bard's work. 

From their ShakesBEER bar crawls, to their Sonnet short films, and their mainstage productions - Much Ado About Nothing and The Rape of Lucrece, to name a few - NY Shakespeare Exchange demonstrates that Shakespeare's works are still powerful tools to make sense of the world around us. Beyond that, the work this company does gives new artists opportunities to engage and rethink how classical theater can fit in modernity.
