2021 Junior Achievement's Metro Mardi Gras Trivia Bowl!
What is a JA Mardi Gras "Trivia" Bowl?
It's a FUN fundraiser for Junior Achievement of Oklahoma! Proceeds will support Junior Achievement's financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs
The JA Trivia Bowl, with a Mardi Gras theme presents an opportunity for co-workers and/or groups of friends to build camaraderie and network with one another and other companies by working together in teams. There is no cost to your company (unless your company chooses a Corporate Team Sponsorship - $750 per team).
- Teams are formed, up to 5 individuals, and secure donations by sending emails and social media posts from this site and/or via fundraising activities. Let's get creative folks...virtual poker, bingo, etc.
- A minimum of $750 is raised by each team (the cost to fund one classroom with JA).
- Normally the celebration is an evening of bowling, fun, and door prizes. This year is a little different due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. We are pivoting our traditional bowling "Bowl" into a "Trivia Bowl" with costume and dress the pin contests to keep things interesting!
- Fundraising runs until November 1, 2020 through February 25, 2021 when the event will take place via Zoom from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Why JA? Why fundraise 4 JA? During the pandemic, Junior Achievement has converted multiple programs to virtual offerings for students K-12. Student events have also been transformed virtually and include JA Biz Town, JA Finance Park, JA Inspire, and JA Investor Challenge. These are incredible experiences for elementary, junior high, and high school students and available to all public schools at no cost.
However, virtual programs do come at a cost to Junior Achievement and are funded solely by individuals, companies, grants, and fundraising events. Proceeds from this event will benefit students across the state. Your fundraising efforts are critical!
Let's take a lesson from the "Big Easy"...
"Laissez les bons temps rouler"...let the good times roll for Junior Achievement!!
