The 4th Annual Oakdale Plunge
The Plunge is back with an icy cold splash on February 27th! This year we'll be playing it HUDSON SAFE. Brave hearted plungers will still jump into Oakdale Lake's frigid water, in staggered shifts, starting at 11am. We will not be able to host any spectators at the beach for everyone's safety, but everyone can enjoy the show via YouTube . Click HERE to watch the live stream! Check the SCHEDULE Page to see when the teams will be plunging and see more details about our safety plan on the FAQ page.
Donations support two hugely important Hudson institutions and promote safe recreation in and around the water! They are evenly split between the Hudson Youth Department and the Hudson Fire Department's Water Rescue and Dive Team. The Dive Team will use its share of the proceeds to upgrade their aging equipment, keeping their all-volunteer team and our entire community safer. The Youth Department's share will go towards Lifeguard Training and expanded hours for free summer fun on the beach!

At Hudson's third annual Oakdale Plunge in 2020, plungers raised over $30,000. More than a dozen teams jumped in the freezing cold lake, including Avalanche Sponsors Metzwood Insurance and Columbia Memorial Health.
